Stroke Support Groups

Anyone who has survived a stroke faces a multitude of challenges including maintaining independence and social ties, managing new medical conditions, and finding available resources. These support groups are dedicated to helping stroke survivors and their families through these challenges.

Roper Rehabilitation Hospital Stroke Support Group

A stroke changes everything, but you and your loved ones can learn to cope. Come join other stroke survivors and their families to:

  • Learn about Stroke
  • Share experiences
  • Support one another in challenges
  • Explore current stroke resources

When: First Thursday each month
Time: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Where: Roper Rehabilitation Hospital, 316 Calhoun Street, Charleston SC 29401 in the Wellin Neuro Rehab Unit, 3rd floor, E elevators
Groups meet in-person and virtual sessions

Neuro Caregiver Support Group of the Lowcountry

Support for caregivers of people with brain injury or stroke.

When: Second Thursday monthly
Time: 5:30 – 6:30 PM

Trident Medical Center Support Group Low Country Support Group

When: First Wednesday monthly
Time: 5:30 – 6:30 PM
Where: 9330 Medical Plaza Dr, North Charleston, SC, The meeting will be Café A.
