Neurohospitalist Services

Neurohospitalists are hospital-based doctors who admit, oversee and manage neurological care for patients. They educate each member of a patient’s care team about the patient’s condition to ensure consistent treatment across all providers and shifts.

Our neurohospitalists provide around-the-clock inpatient consultation at Roper and Bon Secours St. Francis Hospitals. Neurology consults are available virtually at Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant and Berkeley Hospitals and for all six ERs and four inpatient facilities.

Stroke Nurse Navigator

The stroke nurse navigator is a member of your care team who will help you learn more about your diagnosis and treatment. He or she is there to connect you with your doctors and ensure your care is streamlined from the moment you arrive until discharge. Your nurse navigator will answer any questions you have while you’re in the hospital and continue to provide support as you recover.
