Menopause Care

Your Roper St. Francis Healthcare gynecologic team will be by your side through every phase of life, including menopause. Our primary care and OB/GYN doctors can provide valuable information and guidance to women who are making the transition to menopause.

Our doctors can help you deal with the physical and emotional changes associated with menopause. We'll also help you determine whether you need treatment for your symptoms and which treatment is right for you.

Menopause can come with other health risks, so we'll help you handle those, as well. This includes learning how to manage and prevent heart disease, osteoporosis and other changes associated with getting older.

Menopause services

If you've started the transition to menopause, you can find support and resources from your Roper St. Francis Healthcare team. Our menopause care begins with a consultation, where we discuss your symptoms and any questions you may have.

We will also help you decide whether hormone replacement therapy is the right treatment option for you. Our educational programs can show you the risks and benefits of hormone replacement therapy. These programs can also provide information about alternative therapies if hormone replacement doesn't work for you.

Our team also specializes in bioidentical hormone therapy as an alternative to traditional hormone replacement therapy. Bioidentical hormone therapy uses plant-based compounds that act like hormones the body produces, such as estrogen or progesterone.

We also provide:

  • Educational programs and materials
  • Nutrition and exercise consultations
  • Bone density tests
  • Mammograms
  • Metabolic testing
