Our team of highly skilled physicians uses a range of procedures and the latest advancements to diagnose gynecologic cancers, beginning with physical and pelvic exam and getting a complete medical history, as well as additional tests that may include:
- Imaging studies (such as MRI, CT scan or ultrasound)
- Pap test (in which cervical cells are studied to look for changes)
- Colposcopy
- Hysteroscopy
- Biopsy

- Minimally invasive, robotic and reconstructive surgery (Roper St. Francis Healthcare was the first in the region to offer highly precise robotic surgery)
- Electrocoagulation (heat) therapy or laser ablation (for pre-invasive cancer of the cervix)
- Radiation therapy, including brachytherapy
- Chemotherapy or intraperitoneal chemotherapy (injected into the abdomen)
- Biological therapy
- Targeted therapies
- Vaccines
