Diagnostic procedures begin with a thorough physical exam, and additional tests may be ordered to determine if a tumor is cancerous and, if it is, whether the cancer has spread. These possible diagnostic tests include:
- Biopsies
- Blood, urine and stool testing
- Neurological testing, including balance and reflexes
- Xray or radionuclide imaging tests
- Endoscopic ultrasonography
