Our commitment is to provide high-quality, convenient care to our neighbors, family and friends. The hospital expansion plan is set to double our hospital bed capacity from 50 to 100 acute care beds, while also adding 200,000 square feet of new or renovated space to our existing 116,000-square-foot facility.
Scheduled for completion by beginning of 2026, here's a sneak peek at what we have in store for you:
Expanding Services
- Emergency Room: Our ER will have additional space to care for more patients, reducing waiting times and improving overall patient experience.
- Cardiac, Orthopedics and Obstetrics: We're expanding these vital services to provide a broader range of care to our community.
- Neurology: We are considering establishing a dedicated Neurology presence to cater to the growing needs in neurological healthcare.
- Inpatient Dialysis: We're bringing dialysis services to our inpatients, providing continuous, quality care under one roof.
New Features in our Medical Office Building (MOB)
1st Floor - Relocating mammography services from the hospital into the MOB for your convenience and introducing wound therapy services new to our campus.
2nd Floor - Offering comprehensive cardiovascular services and cardiac rehabilitation.
With this expansion, our aim is to limit the need for patient transfers by offering a wider array of high-level services right here at Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital.
Stay with us as we build a future of healthcare that is more accessible and comprehensive, designed around your needs.
