Roper Rehabilitation Hospital is a leading provider of comprehensive inpatient rehabilitative care in the Southeast. Accredited by JCAHO, we are proud to "help people help themselves" by regaining as much functional independence as possible.
Located at 316 Calhoun Street in downtown Charleston, SC, Roper Rehabilitation Hospital is a 39-bed "hospital within a hospital" dedicated solely to rehabilitation and functional recovery. There are two handicap accessible entrances to Roper Hospital. These are located at the main entrance on Calhoun Street and the Emergency Room entrance off of Jonathon Lucas Street. Our inpatient hospital consists of 32 beds on the 8th floor accessed from the "E" elevators, and the 7 beds on the 3rd floor accessed from the "A" elevators.
Our Mission
To provide, promote and support the delivery of comprehensive physical rehabilitation services to enhance the lives of those individuals who have altered functional ability as a result of neurological, musculoskeletal impairment, and/or decreased cardiopulmonary reserve.
