Roper St. Francis Heart and Vascular Center believes prevention is key when it comes to Vascular Disease, that is why we are offering three vital health screenings free to the community. The screenings are scheduled for Thursday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to
6 p.m. at Roper St. Francis Medical Center Berkeley.
If you are a male over 60 years old, a female over 65, have high blood pressure, smoke or have a family history of abdominal aortic aneurysm, cardiovascular disease or pulmonary disease, you may qualify for a free screening.
The three screenings include: painless ultrasound technology to capture images and measurements of the carotid arteries in the neck; painless ultrasound technology to capture images and measurements of the aorta, a main artery near the stomach; and cuffs placed on the arms and legs to measure blood flow.
The tests will screen for a Blocked Carotid Artery, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) and Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD).
Appointments are required. Call 1-866-220-SAVE (7283) for more information. |
