Roper St. Francis Healthcare is proud to announce plans
for a new, state-of-the-art hospital. A new Mount Pleasant hospital
will meet the growing healthcare needs of people living and working
East of the Cooper while providing them a choice with the proven,
quality care Lowcountry residents have trusted for over 150 years.
The Mount Pleasant community has seen tremendous growth.
In the past 15 years, the population has grown 100%, and in the next
five years it is expected to increase another 19% to more than 100,000
people. Roper St. Francis is excited to respond to this growth with
plans to provide for the healthcare needs of the community now and
in the future.
This 250,000 sq. ft. facility will be located on 78
acres of land at the intersection of Highway 17 North and Faison Road
in the Carolina Park Development.

The new Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital will
include:
- 85 inpatient beds
- 24-hour Emergency Care
- Women's Services including
high tech, comfortable Labor and Deliver
Suites
- Inpatient and Outpatient
Surgery
- Intensive and Critical
Care Units
- Imaging, Laboratory and
Pharmacy
