New Employee Info

Welcome! We are excited that you have chosen a career at Roper St. Francis Healthcare and hope that you will find it to be an excellent place to work. The following information is provided to assist you with our new hire process.

Pre-Employment Checklist

As soon as you accept an offer of employment with Roper St. Francis Healthcare, please call Human Resources at 720-8333 to schedule your pre-employment physical/drug screen and a time to complete your new hire paperwork.  Remember, the physical/drug screen and paperwork must be completed by Wednesday prior to the Orientation you are scheduled to attend.

When you come to HR to fill out your new hire paperwork, please bring the following:

  • Documents to Establish Identify & Employment Eligibility for I-9 (click here to see official list – we need: One item from Column A; OR One item from Column B and one item from Column C)
  • Social Security Card
  • Voided Check to set up Direct Deposit
  • Car tag numbers
  • Any licenses (Nursing, PT, OT, Radiology, Respiratory, Lab, Pharmacy, etc.), and/or certifications (CPR, etc.) you possess, if not previously provided to your Recruiter
  • Diploma or official transcript from highest level of education completed, if not previously provided to your Recruiter

What to have with you when you go to Employee Health for your pre-employment physical and drug screen:

  • Your immunization records
  • Most recent PPD results (tuberculosis skin test)
  • Document to establish identity (Driver’s License, Passport, State Issued ID Card or Military ID Card, etc.)

(It helps the process go smoother if you have your immunization records and/or most recent PPD results when you come to Employee Health; however, if you do not have these items, Employee Health can accommodate.)

Orientation Process

  • New Hire Orientations are held every other Monday at our Bon Secours St. Francis (BSSF) Campus, starting at 8:00 am.  Employees should arrive no later than 7:50 am so they can find their seats and be ready to start promptly at 8:00 am.  Complimentary coffee and pastry vouchers are provided for breakfast and a lunch voucher is provided for use in our BSSF cafeteria.  Click here for directions to BSSF and here for an Orientation Agenda with Directions to Orientation Classroom.
  • All employees come to the Hospital Orientation, which lasts one day.
  • After the first day, non-nursing employees will report to their home department for further orientation as necessary.
  • Nursing personnel will receive schedules from Professional Development during the Hospital Orientation regarding nursing-specific Orientation and where to report the remainder of the week.

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is proud to be a tobacco free campus and a drug-free work environment.

Please note that all offers of employment are conditioned upon passing the pre-employment physical and drug screen.
