The Ryan White Part C HIV Care Management Program is a federally funded program that helps coordinate comprehensive medical care for people living with HIV/AIDS. The Part C Program is an Early Intervention Service program designed to help improve the quality and availability of primary healthcare with respect to HIV/AIDS disease.
The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006, named after a 15-year old boy who experienced great discrimination because of his HIV status, provides the Federal HIV/AIDS programs in the Public Health Service (PHS) Act under Title XXVI flexibility to respond effectively to the changing epidemic. The new law changed how Ryan White funds can be used, with an emphasis on providing life-saving and life-extending services for people living with HIV/AIDS across this country.
